The Mercedes-Benz 500K

The 500 denotes the 5-liter engine and the K is for the kompressor or supercharger that was fitted to the sports roadster. The 500K has all around independent suspension with a double wishbone front axle and a double-joint swing axle at the rear, a world first. Consequently it was a more comfortable and better handling car than Mercedes’ previous S/SS/SSK generation of roadsters from the 1920s.
